Welcome to the Table of
Mission Opportunities
“A Witness for Christ in the heart of Spotsylvania Courthouse”

Missions -  A way of life for the Zion Congregation.  Our mission initiatives include:

Zion Emergency Food Pantry - is on-going and active every third Thursday of each month, from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. We serve the residents of Spotsylvania County, a 40 lb.(approx.) box of food. We strive to include fresh produce from our Zion Community Garden Project www.facebook.com/ZionCGP/ most months in season.

Coat Closet - Donations of new and gently used outerwear (sweaters, coats, gloves, etc.) are accepted distributed October - March at the food pantry.

Zion Quilters - Meet each Monday and Tuesday to work on quilts benefiting Project Linus, Hospital Nicu units and Civil War preservation efforts among other causes.

In addition to the above missions we support other efforts by saving and bringing in:

Pop Tabs - The Ronald McDonald House is thrilled to see so many pop tops coming in - proceeds would cover a stay for a family  whose child is very ill.

Eyeglasses - Lions have a box in our fellowship hall

Also, check the table near our mailboxes for information, periodicals, devotionals and greeting cards to benefit the Gideons, who provide Bibles universally. www.gideons.org/

If you are interested in in-house missions, inquire about our care meal team or prayer shawl ministries.
